Last weekend we realised our caravan plus the tow A-frame is closer to 24 foot, not 23. When you visit Main Beach Caravan Park, if yours is a similar length, ask for a longer site.
Just a moderate sized park in-between Southport and Surfers Paradise, QLD, the staff were welcoming, and facilities CLEAN! Our new site was situated perfectly between the amenities and the pool.
The caravan park is directly opposite the beach. Our main drawcard. The kids were back and forth a few times a day for a surf or a paddle. We had our Jayco Starcraft Outback, plus one night an added four swags to boot. The site was comfortably able to fit everyone, and the Hilux.
The camp kitchen looks new and built up on an open deck, and would be a nice spot to eat. We used the BBQ next to the pool. Very convenient – as was the hot water!
On weekend nights friends tried to pizza can onsite. Parking can be tricky on the esplanade, it helped the park had designated carpark outside the complex.
And when the heavens opened Sunday afternoon, the kids were kept occupied with our board games, and the activity room – complete with a pool table. Good thinking!
Tedder Avenue was an easy walk away, Beaches, a popular coffee shop and a Subway a block or so down. Importantly, right across the road was the Surf Club.
Excellent position, excellent facilities. We had a wonderfully relaxing long weekend.
