Shark Bay WA
Beaches & Coasts

Why visit Shark Bay, Western Australia?

Eagle Bluff Shark Bay World Heritage Area is situated on the Western Australian Coast, it is actually two bays – and it is area you do not want to miss. Aussie MUST DO: Taronga Western Plains Zoo at Dubbo, New South Wales

Did you know you can camp at Taronga Western Plains Zoo? Heatley’s mum and sister had the best time there last week! They said:    “5 hrs at the zoo. Fabulous day. Nyla the king cheetah, the giraffes and the Siamang apes were so engaging and our favourites…”   You’ll find it in Dubbo, New South Wales. If you are driving near Dubbo with the kids, add African animals to your spotto list!    I wonder if you’ve been here, too? Here are photos from

See the turtles at Mon Repos

Definitely a thing for your bucket list.  The turtles were THE reason we stayed at Bargara Beach Caravan Park. Mon Repos supports the Pacific region’s largest breeding population of loggerhead turtles, and the largest nesting marine turtles on the eastern mainland Australia. Of course we found lots of other lovely things to do in Bundaberg and the coast, but seeing the turtles was the highlight of the weekend. Not just for us, but also our son and his friend.  Be prepared for a wait. If you are planning, book well ahead. If not, and it is booked out – ask if
