Here’s what they said: 1hr East of Esperance Off-road set-ups only as the road is unpredictable and dirt. The entrance to the beach was tight, but our big rig fit, just! There is a camping area behind the dunes/beach, but only a few large spots and the rest are small. You can camp on the beach itself but be mindful of soft sand. Lake Mason Homestead, Western Australia is now a free camp!

This former pastoral station, Lake Mason Homestead is now a free camp, there is free entry to the remote Lake Mason Conservation Park and you cannot book sites. However, no pets allowed. The Parks and Wildlife Service have advised that Lake Mason does have a flushing toilet, hot donkey shower and a firepit. BYO drinking water – untreated bore water is also available. Have you visited Pinjarra, near Mandurah, only an hour south of Perth? And did you know Australia had another Murray River? Pinjarra RV Parking Area in Western Australia is a free camp and within walking distance of the town centre. You’ll find picnic tables, shade and the dump point is about 100 metres away. Additionally, it is pet friendly and there is room for Big Rigs. There is space for 15 recreational vehicles, with a maximum stay of 24 hours only.
