We love a campsite all to ourselves! However, we make sure that our campsite parking does not prevent other travellers enjoying the campground, too. CAMPS fan, Michael Lennon sent us an update on free camp, Graeme Caxton Reserve near Cadell in the Mid Murray Region of South Australia. With it he explained a camping “no no”: Graeme Claxton Reserve, Cadell, South Australia Over many years and trips this has been one of our most favourite camping spots after crossing the Nullarbor on our way to visit Maureen’s parents when they were alive in Mildura. How they did it! We sat down with Robyn to find out just how much effort went into their big lap, and the response was ‘very little’.
We come across travellers and their stories every day. When Peter Warden (pictured on the left of this image with his friends) sent us this email about the camps app, we just had to share. I downloaded alternative apps…… and then I renewed my camps membership and paid the 10 bucks …. Why? You do a bloody good job with your app and the POI and the book. I used you for 12-13 years and think you are important in the past, and now, and for the caravan community. Others jumped on your success, but you are the right guys

Tasmania Stanley Recreation Ground (photographed from The Nut), Tasmania Oh, I’ll be back in a heartbeat. We weren’t here for long, but in usual CAMPS style we covered some country. This couple were very happy at Diamantina Cooper Rest Area, near Windorah and Quilpie, QLD Do you need a last minute campground or caravan park? Here’s our ‘Camping 101’ tips… For popular caravan parks and camps, you need to book ahead over peak periods like Christmas, summer, Easter, other school holidays and often The Dry season up north. Some bookings at iconic beach parks or camps can only be won in a ballot. But if you are like us, we don’t often plan ahead. We love not knowing where we’ll be that night. Perhaps you’ve just secured time off over summer,
Yass NSW is so RV friendly! 2 RV parks, Showgrounds and caravan parks to camp at! Dump point and day parking easy access, too. We dropped into the waterside camps at Joe O’Connor Park. Loved the views of cows across the river from the boat ramp! This large site is pet friendly, FREE for self contained RVs – including big rigs and camper trailers. There is shade, picnic tables and you can walk to town. Plus there are loads of villages, wineries and scenic drives to discover near here. Have you visited the Yass Valley? Just follow the signs for
