Between Gympie and the Cooloola Coast, is a little oasis called Standown Park, QLD site 212 in Camps 11, 256 in Caravan Parks 5 or find it on the Camps Australia Wide App.  As we turned into their road, kangaroos were there to welcome us.  The pet friendly caravan park has powered sites and budget unpowered out of the way sites as there are 18 acres beside forestry, set amongst gardens, wide open spaces and memorial walls.  Standown is a military term for ‘rest/relax’ and that is exactly what you do here. On our way back home, we stopped into the Eumundi Markets and the Eumundi RV Stop Over. We noted it says it is still closed due to COVID (which you will see on the Camps Australia Wide App), so we put in a query. Here’s there reply, that they are: “just not an RV park but also a very busy car park on market days. Changes for Renmark Paringa RV Parks

Plushs Bend RV Park Online bookings are now live for Renmark Paringa’s RV Parks and Campgrounds – Plush’s Bend, SS Ellen Park and TM Price Rotary Park. Time limits and type of camping have been changed as well. In all 3 sites, dogs on leash only, check In from 1pm and check out by 11am. There are no portable toilets allowed and sites close to the Murray River are for self contained vehicles (caravans and RVs) only – where grey water is contained.
