The CMCA have opened their second park in South Australia, this one at Port Pirie.  It’s located within the grounds of the Port Football and Community Club on the corner of Wandearah and Esmond Roads. You’ll have access to their facilities during opening hours and the club are offering discounts to members. Lunches and dinners are available most days. The park is a five minute stroll to shopping and businesses and provides a dump point, potable water, happy hour shelter, and park custodian. 6 new RV parks proposed for Gympie, Queensland

Breaking news! Gympie Regional Council RV strategy has proposed 6 new RV sites at Amamoor, Gunalda, Gympie Showgrounds, Kilkivan, Tin Can Bay and a second Kandanga park.  This adds to Free RV parks at Dickabram Park, Widgee, Kinbombi Falls, Chatsworth Park, Carters Ridge and Kandanga in the Queensland region, just north of the Sunshine Coast. We’ve been encouraging council for years on this – as it is our local area. It is especially pleasing to hear about Gympie Showground and that for the first time the Cooloola Coast is included, at Tin Can Bay Qld. Plus it is wonderful news

Port Hedland Racecourse Port Hedland is the gateway to the Pilbara and there’s lots to explore.  Set up camp at the Port Hedland RV Overflow area.  It’s located adjacent to the Racecourse on McGregor Street. This very busy site has a three day limit and is within walking distance to local amenities and a short drive from the town centre.  Though unpowered it offers drinking water,  a dump point and pets are permitted on lead. CMCA Humpty Doo RV Park – Northern Territory

It’s always great to add a new site to our listings, and this time it’s the new CMCA Humpty Doo RV Park in the Northern Territory. Located off the Arnhem Highway south-east of Darwin you’ll find it at the rear of the iconic Humpty Doo Hotel. There are large flat sites with direct access to the hotel and park guests are able to use the hotel swimming pool also. It is suitable for all sized RVs, with a dump point with potable water as well as onsite caretaker. The park has disabled access, is pet friendly and generators are permitted.

Heritage Park is now CMCA RV Park Geeveston, Tasmania

Heritage Park Geeveston has had a name change, following its closure by council and new management by CMCA. Now called CMCA RV Park Geeveston – it is still on Arve Road opposite the roadhouse now with the addition of a Custodian.  The previous facilities, bbq’s, picnic tables, bins, playground and shelters are not within the site but are still available at the park next door.   Situated on the banks of the Kermandie River  this is the most southerly of all CMCA RV parks.
