NEW App customer question: Do you list showground stays?

Clifton Showgrounds, Queensland Camps Australia Wide were probably the first ones to list showground camps! We love them, too! They are generally cheap, pet friendly and spacious BUT they have facilities. They’re a great place to start if you want to try different types of camping, because you still have the comforts of toilets, showers etc AND they are generally fenced, with a caretaker, or close to- if not in – town. Please check your filters when you search for them. Delete the other filters, and choose the showground symbol (see screenshot below). Or look for the yellow symbol on

Choose your spot at Toogoolawah Showgrounds, Queensland

Did you know at Toogoolawah Showgrounds, you can park anywhere you like? And they are community run, not by council but by the Show Society? We spoke to Bill, who sometimes helps out the caretaker, and knows the area, just north of Esk in the Brisbane Valley, quite well. He said you can choose your spot – “all 40 acres – we’ve had nearly 400 caravans here once!” It only costs $20 a night and $3 for the dump point for non patrons. He pointed at the yards, near the entry, “They have a campdraft there every year, plus rodeo

Stay at Murwillumbah Showground, New South Wales

You can see from these photos when we dropped in the other day, Murwillumbah Showgrounds are a little piece of paradise. Surrounded by ranges, and located near Mt Warning (or Wollumbin National Park) and in walking distance to Murwillumbah’s main street, it is a great spot! This is NSW site 2 in Camps 10 or find it on the Camps Australia WIde App.  As for most showgrounds, camping is not available during events and very wet conditions, plus there are limited sites – so do check first as bookings are strongly advised (especially for a powered site).  It comes in

Adelaide Showground to host an RV park

The Royal Agricultural & Horticultural Society of South Australia (RA&HS) has revealed its development plans for the South-East corner of the Adelaide Showground. The new multi-purpose space can accommodate music festivals throughout the year, Cirque du Soleil, horses during the Royal Adelaide Show and a motorhome park at other times. RA&HS Chief Executive John Rothwell says the development has a high standard of design with the flexibility outside of Show-time to accommodate multiple events and services. “Whilst the $7 million investment for the Society is significant, it is expected the development will fully pay for itself within a ten-year period,”
