6 new RV parks proposed for Gympie, Queensland

Breaking news! Gympie Regional Council RV strategy has proposed 6 new RV sites at Amamoor, Gunalda, Gympie Showgrounds, Kilkivan, Tin Can Bay and a second Kandanga park. This adds to Free RV parks at Dickabram Park, Widgee, Kinbombi Falls, Chatsworth Park, Carters Ridge and Kandanga in the Queensland region, just north of the Sunshine Coast. We’ve been encouraging council for years on this – as it is our local area. It is especially pleasing to hear about Gympie Showground and that for the first time the Cooloola Coast is included, at Tin Can Bay Qld. Plus it is wonderful news

Some unpowered sites are large and have water views, others not so ask when booking. Kids’ playground, refreshing pool, restaurant to eat at with outdoor dining which was nice. Woolies and shops just outside.”

What a beautiful location! Right on the beach, with beach access to these calm sandy beaches. Currently there are big renovations due to happen for this council run park – and you need to be self contained RV only. Toilets are available at the foreshore just south of the tourist park.  No dogs, but there is unlimited swimming, fishing and the boat ramp next door. There are picnic tables, too and a dump point.
