Must see: Red Rock Beach, NSW

A stand out destination, Red Rock Beach is north of Coffs Harbour, NSW. You can see why it has that name – but have you visited?  It is just so special because it has two beaches – offering totally different experiences, a creek and a river! Corindi River and the beaches surround Reflections Holiday Park Red Rock.  After lunch in the picnic area (watching kayakers), we swam at Little Beach, perfect for families at this sheltered cove.  There was even a bit of shade on the sand when we visited from the Pandanus trees. Visit the iconic Porcupine Gorge National Park, Queensland

An iconic stop we think belongs on any Aussie bucket list is the lesser known Porcupine Gorge near Hughenden in Queensland. We managed the road from Hughenden easily with our caravan – it is 75 km north of the town on a fully sealed road. There is a short cut to Prairie, via a dirt road. This is a special national park and the site is aptly names the Pyramid Campground. You’ll see why when you venture down the MANY steps into the canyon below. Bring a picnic, we didn’t but you could have spent all day swimming (chilly!) and birdwatching,

New sites for Port MacDonnell, South Australia

Eight Mile Creek & Birdhide – images courtesy District of Grant Council The Grant District council in SA have changed a day use only in the Port MacDonnell area to camping for self contained vehicles, as well as an extra bonus … The Day Use at Eight Mile Creek is now 72 hour free camping for self contained vehicles. There are now two sites here on either side of the inlet, the other is called Birdhide and is also 72 hours.
