Burekup & Dardanup – 2 new free camps in WA

We’re happy to announce the re-opening of Burekup Hall (pronounced burra-cup) beside Gardiner Reserve. The site had been closed earlier this year by council, pending community consultation and feedback on its future. 6 new RV parks proposed for Gympie, Queensland

Breaking news! Gympie Regional Council RV strategy has proposed 6 new RV sites at Amamoor, Gunalda, Gympie Showgrounds, Kilkivan, Tin Can Bay and a second Kandanga park. This adds to Free RV parks at Dickabram Park, Widgee, Kinbombi Falls, Chatsworth Park, Carters Ridge and Kandanga in the Queensland region, just north of the Sunshine Coast. We’ve been encouraging council for years on this – as it is our local area. It is especially pleasing to hear about Gympie Showground and that for the first time the Cooloola Coast is included, at Tin Can Bay Qld. Plus it is wonderful news

The campground is located on the same site as Freycinet Paintball (so you can have some fun while you’re there). The campground offers large grassy sites, there’s plenty of room to camp in the field or under shady wattles beyond the main campsite with views of Moulting Lagoon. If you want beachfront, close to shops and just over an hour drive from Brisbane – book a site at Kingscliff Beach Holiday Park. WA Site 38 (in Camps 10) – Norseman Recreation Reserve is CLOSED. It has been replaced by an RV area adjacent to the Recreation Reserve on the corner of Richardson and Mildura Streets with access from Mildura Street.
