Ten new listings on Fraser Island K’gari

Fraser Island K’gari In light of the royals Harry and Meghan’s visit to Fraser Island, we thought it was high time to add more campsites to the App and CAMPS 10. In addition to Cathedrals on Fraser listed in Caravan Parks 4, we now have four more campgrounds and six dump points listed! First thing to note – K’gari Fraser Island travel is only suited to high clearance, off road 4WDs only – there are soft sandy and rough tracks. Vehicle permits are required. Prebook trailer sites – they are limited, and if in holiday time, well ahead, Fraser can

NEW LISTING: Jacksons Crossing Bush Camp, Victoria

Images Courtesy John Nieddu Jacksons Crossing Bush Camp is located in the Snowy River National Park.  This is stunning Victorian High Country Camping, with large areas of grassland beside the river.  It is definitely 4WD only, and dry weather only. There are river crossings and off-road campers should check local conditions at the Buchan office first. There’s a small sandy beach to camp at the end of Varneys Track and very pretty views. It has no facilities, so you’ll need all your own provisions including drinking water.  You can fish here, there are no pets allowed as it is National

The NEW Camps Australia Wide Site Symbols

It has come in handy – we’ve booked holidays in Coffs Harbour, Sunshine Coast and Surfers.  It’s good because of the symbols – like a playground for the kids, also petrol stations and shopping centres. It’s really good for me, I find it easy and I don’t know how to use maps! The kids are 6 and 10, they look at the pictures and are learning from the symbols and know if it has a playground or toilet.  We save caravan parks in favourites and eliminate them until we find the site we like. You can tell if they have toilets,

You can enjoy the licensed bar opened in the evenings with TV,  BBQ and firepit to share some stories

Profile of a free camp: Giles Breakaway, Western Australia

Giles Breakaway – image Darcy & Tanya Cleveland Instagram page @toughlifetouring How good does this look? With stunning landscapes and no facilities, this is a great overnight stop, with amazing views and colours at sunset and dawn. Previous owners of CAMPS, Cathryn and Philip said they always stop here. Others will tell you it is the best stop on the Great Central Road. This serene spot is within easy reach from Kalgoorlie, and you’ll love those white and yellow cliffs. There’s shade and a picnic table, mobile phone coverage, pets are allowed, but it is suitable in dry weather only. Find
