You’ll find this breathtaking beachside free camp on Cape Leveque in Western Australia. Here’s an update from CAMPS Ambassadors, Dale and Tracey.
This would have to be one of our favourite free camps. Sleeping under the stars, the sound of the waves at night and the beautiful turquoise water and red cliffs make this place a popular choice for lots of travellers.
The road is sandy and corrugated to get out there but definitely worth the effort.
There are no facilities but you can enjoy a fire and some spectacular sunsets.
Camping is only permitted for 72 hours. Also there are crocs about so please no swimming.
The turn off is just 9 km north of Broome, in The Kimberley. If you have been here – add your review to the Camps Australia Wide App. For more information, check out our App and travel guides.
