Beauchamp Falls Reserve has reopened in Victoria

The free camp, Beauchamp Falls Campground in the Otways is proving popular this summer after undergoing a major upgrade.

Forest Fire Management Victoria’s works delivered a range of new facilities and improvements:

  • New toilet block, picnic tables and firepits
  • Six new camping sites for camper trailers and camper vans
  • Landscaping including the addition of 5,000 native plants
  • An internal road and turning circle to improve traffic flow
  • Expansion of the carpark

The camp is free with BYO water. Note: no pets allowed in Otway Forest Park.

The Great Otway National Park stretches from Torquay through to Princetown and up through the Otways hinterland towards Colac. From Beauchamp Falls Campground, visitors can explore the Otways’ towering forests, rainforests, waterfalls, lakes, ferny gullies and walks. The park features rugged coastlines, sandy beaches, rock platforms and windswept heathland.

Four wheel driving is popular, and and mountain bike trails are plentiful, too!

You aren’t far from the iconic Great Ocean Road and the 110 km, eight day Great Ocean Walk.

The project was funded by Victoria’s Great Outdoors, a $105.6 million Victorian Government investment in better walking trails, campgrounds, four-wheel drive tracks and visitor facilities to boost regional tourism and make it easier to enjoy nature.
