UPDATE September 2024: Eumundi RV Stop Over and Dump Point is now permanently closed. Campers are advised to camp at Eumundi Showgrounds, 1 km away, or at the two campsites at Cooroy.
On our way back home, we stopped into the Eumundi Markets and the Eumundi RV Stop Over. We noted it says it is still closed due to COVID (which you will see on the Camps Australia Wide App), so we put in a query. Here’s there reply, that they are: “just not an RV park but also a very busy car park on market days. We have plans to re-open over coming months and once we do, we will be putting the information up on our website…. We are limited to 20 per night…”
We thought it looked a great site, plenty of room, with showers, toilets, dump point, water, covered BBQ and picnic table – generators and big rigs allowed. It is pet friendly and 48 hours only.
It was a good lunch stop off (and yummy lunch) for us because it was market day, and it was easy parking, right in town.
We are sorry to see it is still closed, and especially knowing that there are going to be more RVs on the road this year, we reminded them that not only will campsites be needed, but overflow should also be considered.
However, we know that there are huge pressures on community groups and councils coping with COVID red tape.
Sunshine Coast Council – does your region have a strategy to help cope with RV travellers and overflow for the coming season?
