That’s the name of one of our newest listings. Named because you’ll be camping on the banks of Yabba Creek at the Crossing Number One. Only 3 km out of Imbil, in the Mary Valley, Queensland – if you reach the crossing, you’ve gone too far.
Owners, Lian Wells and Wayne Deschamps offer shady, level campsites on their horse property – and say they have room for your horses too, as well as your dog.
Opposite state forestry it has easy access for your motor bikes and 4WDs, plus they are about 7km to Borumba Dam.
Says Lian, “People love the privacy – the walking track to the creek is 20 to 50m away from campsites. It is easily accessible for your canoes – you can paddle into Imbil.”
You may even spot a platypus. And space?
“You’ve got a whole paddock to turn around if you need to. We limit it to four adults a night plus kids (who have free entry) on a site. Our sites are as big as a house yard – so we try to keep it to no more than fifty people at any one time, otherwise you may well go to busy caravan park!”
“We have one of the best horse riding and training areas in Australia. Fires are allowed in season, but there is no access to town water, so please bring drinking water,” cautions Lian.
You must be self contained – as their are no facilities on site. Bookings are essential.
