What’s a pepperberry I hear you ask? The dark purple black pepperberry is a staple here. It’s a Tasmanian native plant that’s an alternative to traditional black pepper. With its hot and sweet peppery taste, (and a little bit fruity) its great for marinades, in dips, a gin infusion, steak rub and even with a dessert like chocolate or berries.
Pets are welcome, provided they are kept on a lead and under control. Waratah has limited dining and food options, so guests are encouraged to arrive well-prepared with their own supplies. You’re free to choose any spot on the property that best suits your vehicle.
The riverside campsite offers a flat, grassy area on the banks of the Waratah River. The location is ideal for fishing or simply relaxing by the water. It’s a great place to slow down and unwind.
