Exciting news for campers! Approval has officially been granted for a brand-new Eco Tourist Park at Coochin Creek on the beautiful Sunshine Coast. The upcoming Coochin Creek Holiday Resort is set to welcome up to 600 guests across 150 sites, creating a mix of traditional camping and comfortable cabin stays — giving travellers even more to look forward to.
Set across 43 hectares at the end of Roys Road, the resort promises a relaxed coastal atmosphere with a focus on families.
The proposed pool water park is sure to become the heart of the resort for families with kids giving hours of entertainment. Add in a tennis court, mini golf, pickleball courts and a jumping pillow, and it’s easy to imagine this becoming a go-to holiday destination for multi-generational family getaways. We’ve heard there’s also a swim-up bar for the grown-ups.
A decision is yet to be made on whether the park will be pet friendly and that decision will be made closer to the time. Fingers crossed!

With a generous capacity and plenty of open space, the park has the potential to cater for everything from weekend camping trips to school holiday adventures at this nature-based escape close to the coast.
If construction progresses as planned over the next two years, this new addition could become a significant drawcard for the Sunshine Coast region — offering a blend of eco-conscious design, family fun and classic Aussie holiday park charm.
The site was previously used as a strawberry farm. It will be extensively revegetated, bringing trees, shrubs and native plants to the landscape.

We’ll be keeping tabs on this one and look forward to its opening. You’ll find new camps, caravan parks, points of interest and more in our CAMPS AUSTRALIA WIDE App and guides.
