Do you want to travel to South Australia’s Flinders Ranges, but worried about finding great camping spots with your dog? CAMPS Ambassadors Vikki and Locky (@vikkiandlocky on Instagram) gave their round up of their favourite dog friendly camps from their Flinders Ranges trip and why they loved them.

1. Warren Gorge

This is a quiet little campsite in the Southern Flinders Ranges that is very dog friendly. There’s lots of areas to choose from with great views of the gorge and rock formations. We loved the dog friendly hike here and spotting yellow footed rock wallabies from camp.

2. Rawnsley Park Station

Our absolute favourite. We got a spot out the back in the bush camping section and had so much space all to ourselves. The views were so beautiful and we got treated to an amazing sunset every night. Rawnsley Park also has all the caravan park features a few kilometres drive from the bush camping section, including a pool. A lot of the hikes on the station are dog friendly and they offer dog daycare while you go out and explore the national park.

3. Parachilna Gorge

An area with heaps of different free camps along the gorge to choose from. More beautiful sunsets and rock faces, and if you’re lucky you’ll see the resident goats.

We know there are lots of other dog friendly camps in the Flinders, but these are the ones we picked and loved! Save for your Flinders Ranges/central aus trip & find all the details on these campsites on the @campsaustraliawide app and guides.
