Not for big rigs: Scamander Forest Reserve (Trout Creek)

Scamander Reserve is popular, with good reason, so try to arrive early if you are travelling during holiday periods or on the weekend.

Recreational activities are king here on the lovely Scamander River where you can find bream, trout and occasionally cocky, salmon, trevalla and mullet.

The campsite has toilets, shade, water, BBQs, mobile reception and a resident eel, plus it is pet friendly. Bring your mossie repellant, fishing gear or kayak and firewood!

This pretty spot is located between St Helens and St Mary’s on the Tasmanian east coast. Make sure you travel there from Beaumaris, it is 11 km west via Upper Scamander Road, Eastern Creek Road and Trout Road.
