Enjoy a picnic on the banks of the Amamoor Creek in the shade of hoop and bunya pines, or sizzle a sausage or two on the wood-fired barbecues provided.Afterwards, stroll through rainforest along the Amama walk to a pretty cascading waterfall set amongst moss-carpeted rocks. Cool off with a dip and keep an eye out for the colourful eastern yellow robin and the chatty grey fantail in the trees above. If you're lucky (and quiet), at dawn or dusk you may spot a platypus in Amamoor Creek. Shy and elusive, bubbles on the water’s surface sometimes give them away.
