Camp nearby the Gympie Muster at La Dolce Vita at Amamoor Creek, Queensland

With more than 100 artists, performing in 6 venues, over 4 days, The Gympie Music Muster is Australia’s original and best camping and music experience!

From exhibition days all over Oz, classic music events like Woodford Folk Festival, to your run of the mill local events like sports days and community events, it has been a rough few years for organisers all across the country.

Luckily things seem to be bouncing back now with the Brisbane Ekka back in action this year and now the Gympie Muster is back in all its glory!

Staged deep within the natural surrounds of the Amamoor State Forest, The Muster showcases a mix of country, roots, blues, folk and rock music as well as workshops, bush poets and Gympie Mazda Kid’s Club!

The Muster will be held this year from Friday August 25 to Sunday 28.

Many times campers choose to seek a little refuge from the hustle and bustle of the event by staying nearby but not directly at the grounds during the event. If this sounds like you then our newly listed, La Dolce Vita at Amamoor Creek may be just the place for you!

Only 8 km west of the Muster Campgrounds, La Dolce Vita provides basic bush camping on the banks of Amamoor Creek. The site is hosted by Frankie and Steve, Gympie locals for 30 years. Steve is a chef and has had his hand in many local restaurants and pubs as well as internationally, Frankie is an artist who teaches silver smithing and forging of unique handcrafted jewellery.

The site offers basic bush camping on the banks of Amamoor Creek, with plenty of room for up to 20 groups. Facilities are currently quite basic, with a toilet and shower available and a camp kitchen to be installed later in the year.

Please search for La Dolce Vita the Camps Australia Wide App for more information.

If you are coming to the Muster, plan to continue the camping at the jewel in the crown of the Gympie Region, Rainbow Beach and Tin Can Bay coastline. Only an hour from the muster Rainbow and Tin Can are the perfect place for post Muster fun.

Tin Can Bay Tourist Park and Kingfisher Caravan Park are great places to set up and explore more of the coast, and extend your muster adventure. Rainbow Beach has two caravan parks also – Rainbow Beach Holiday Village in town and Big4 Rainbow Beach at Carlo Point.

Find them in our Caravan Parks 6 guide, CampsPendium state by state guides, as well as national park sites in the CAMPS books. They are all in the Camps Australia Wide App.
