This is a dream come true for market lovers. South East Queensland’s Eumundi Markets are held on Wednesdays and Saturdays, the RV Park is open again!
Although it is only licensed for caravans and RVs, and now $30 for unpowered or $35 powered site – you are right in the centre of town. Consequently, that means walk to shops, pubs, cafes and the famous markets.
Camping does have a strict two night maximum stay, and there are limited sites so it is essential to book. However, the price does include FREE hot showers, dump point, toilets, and it is pet friendly. Check in is strictly 3-5 pm only and their location means no fires.
These eclectic markets are held each Wednesday from 8am and Saturday from 7am. Make sure you give yourself some time – they are huge and close at 2pm.
Rather than bargain basement products, think artisan as their motto is “Make It, Bake It, Sew It, Grow It.”
In the past, I found lovely clothing, birkenstocks, jewellery, buttons and gifts. And Sunshine Coast artwork!
You’ll find musicians and street performers. I love the outdoor “food court”. I never know which food van to choose, as there are so many nationalities of cuisine represented. Gyozas and Mexican always go down a treat.
Where to Camp
Eumundi has another camp at the budget priced showgrounds, which allows all types of camping. It is located just over 1km from the market and centre of town.
Find the Eumundi RV Stopover and the showgrounds in the CAMPS App and guides – and the market is right next door! There’s more photos of the RV park here.
