Goomeri Pumpkin Festival is on May 24 to 26, 2024. This is an event I have been wanting to visit for years! Melissa Haslam kindly shared her photos.
Have you seen the pumpkins rolling? It is on the Sunday as is the street parade and traditional festival games and music.
Friday has the Wine and Cheese Under the Stars. This region is a little known gem for wineries! We checked them out a few years back when we visited the Wondai Races, we stayed on the Bjelke-Petersen Dam at Yallakool Caravan Park.
There is even a Pumpkin Cup Golf Challenge, Gala Dinner and Twilight Markets on the Saturday. Yes, please!
Goomeri, Queensland is just north west of Gympie – you can stay at the Goomeri BP Roadhouse, Goomeri Showground Camping, Goomeri Caravan and Bush Camp plus there’s plenty more sites in the surrounding towns – check the deatils in your Camps Australia Wide App or books.
