Here’s a personal recommendation from Bob:

“I am staying at this camp called Hangar O which is near Gunalda just 35 kilometres north of Gympie. It has only been open for three weeks but is terrific for $10.00 per night. No Power or water but a toilet and vehicles do not have to be self contained as the area is very dry and they want the grey water on the land. It has a lovely creek and a Billabong.

The young couple Darren and Sam are very friendly and they really look after you with a big fire pit and wood supplied. They even have a coffee truck of a morning.”

You’ll find this Camp Area at 2484 Bruce Highway, Gunalda, (HEMA 13 C13) 1km south of the United Service Station, bookings essential.
