Named after Albert Henry Tognolini AM, a former Main Roads Commissioner credited for his improvements to highways in this region. 

This rest area is 179 km north west of Newman or 17 km south of Auski Roadhouse. At 2 km east of the Great Northern Highway, follow tracks to the right along the ridge.
