The realistic budget option near Brisbane is a showground: Rosewood is $19 a night, Lowood and Marburg $25, all about 45 minutes west. It depends on the site. Pine Rivers Showground and Baden Powell Park have both been personally checked by our team as suitable for big rigs. Brisbane Holiday Village at Eight Mile Plains is the closest to the city at about 13 km. Pine Rivers Showground is the value pick, on the northern side towards the Sunshine Coast. We note access for every site we check, so you know before you commit the van down a narrow track.
How long can you stay at camps near Brisbane?
Time limits vary by site. All three take multi night stays, but showgrounds and scout camps can be booked out by events, so ring ahead. Because we personally check each site, you’ll know before you set up whether it’s a one-night stop or somewhere to settle in for a few days. Councils do change limits, so always follow the signs on site.
