We haven’t calculated how many camps and caravan parks we have visited yet, but here are our BEST 10 camps from our winter trip! We were away 4 months, visited 5 states/territory and travelled 16000 km. I’m not sure how many towns, national parks as yet! Here are Heatley’s and mine – our top five each.
Remember, this is our opinion – they may not be the best in the state. Additionally, some places we hoped to stop at, were closed due to flooding. However, here they are, our favourites over our 4 months on the road and our best 10 camps:

Michelle 2 –Cape Banks, Canunda National Park, SA
Heatley 2- Dry Bogan River, Rossmore Station, Bourke, NSW (The other camp we stopped at on Rossmore Station was on top of Mount Oxley – see the tricky road up and the views!)
Heatley 1 – Watts Bend, Murray Mildura, VIC
Michelle 1- Rose Isle Station, Louth, NSW
