In honour of Remembrance Day on November 11, I’ve selected choice sites, with memorials all over Australia. There is an SA free camp, a picnic area at an interesting historical location in Queensland, a Tassie rec ground, a free WA site and a riverside caravan park in Victoria.
Heatley’s mum and sister camped there last night – and said it was one of the prettiest towns in Australia! It is a favourite of ours, too – and you can see the memorial is town centre! Wait until you see their video. They didn’t make it up to Hotham as planned – luckily, because it is covered in a foot of snow right now – and they have had to make some other detours. However, they are having a whale of a time in the motorhome – I don’t think they’ll want to come home!
Meanwhile, we’ve been swimming. We managed five days in a row at the beach, before the temperatures dropped again. Nevermind, summer adventures are just around the corner!
