If you are travelling to the Mundi Mundi Bash between 15-17th August, why not organise a stopover at Stirlingvale Station – our newest NSW Station Stay.
The rugged beauty and tranquility of the latest addition to our Farm & Station Stay category is on full display. Yet surprisingly, this 10,000 acre sheep and cattle farm is only 10 kms West of Broken Hill on the Barrier Highway.
Facilities
The property owners welcome all vehicles and offer off grid bush camping. For that reason you’ll need to be self contained in this setting. Sites are located on the homestead side of the property.
This brilliant stopover has toilets (BYO toilet paper), non potable water and even a dump point. Oh and did I mention, best of all this is a budget camp! You can have a cosy fire in the provided fire buckets (in season of course) and wood is available for purchase.
They use an honesty system for payment with an envelope at the welcome point. It must be remembered this is a working station and dogs are permitted on leash. However, they will need to be under the owners care due to livestock protection measures. Telstra and Boost mobile networks works well here.
While still finding their feet in the private camping space, the new property owners have created camping spots for visitors. They had previously hosted a wedding and decided it was time to open up this magical space to be enjoyed by others.
Wildlife
As a working station they have Merino and dorper sheep as well as cattle. Native wildlife includes kangaroos and emus to keep you entertained.
Campsites
This brand new campsite offers around 20 sites. They can be single, 2 or 3 vehicles. There is one site that will accommodation up to 6 vehicles. If you park in a multi vehicle spot be prepared to share.
Don’t forget it’s on the way to the Mundi Mundi Bash, so add it to your itinerary.
