Congratulations to owners, Steve and Annette Camino. They have a 50 acre property, four of which is offered as a Campground. The farmstay is not far off the main touring route, they grow lucerne and grass for silage and hay, and the land is nice and level with amazing views of the Great Western Tiers.
On arrival you’ll find a self check-in box, with a map of the campsites and a pokemon hiding in the corner! The kids will love searching for the pokemon hidden around the property.
The campground includes a communal firepit, to gather and share stories, there’s a shade sail over tables and chairs, a herb garden where you can pick your own fresh herbs for dinner, a welcome area with tourist information, activities for the kids like cricket and frisbees and even a book exchange!
You’ll need to be self contained, there are taps provided all the way around the property with drinking water and pets are welcome on a leash. Cost for the night is $10 per vehicle. Opening only on October 14, they’ve already had their first groups of campers.
Annette says “We are striving to provide the best experience possible for our visitors and plan to actively promote events and other businesses in our region”. They are open from September to May depending on the weather. “If it’s drier we can stay open longer,” says Annette.
