Featured in our free GO WEST and stay with a farmer guide, this campground has only been open a few months.
The working cattle property of nearly 800 hectares is just north of Dubbo – you’ll find it on our Camps Australia Wide App.
In the guide, owner David and owners of the other 9 properties tell us about how the drought has been impacting them. He and the others urge us to visit.
You can camp next to facilities: clean filtered non-potable water, chlorinated drinking water, flushing chemical toilets, hot shower, sheltered BBQ and table area, rubbish bins and access to power (limited number available).
Or continue to the ‘Wilderness’ area, they have shade and open spaces and invite you to enjoy the peace and quiet, go for a bush walk and see the birds and wildlife and say: “Ahhh . . . how’s the serenity!”
Access is 24 hours although if arriving late a call before sundown would be appreciated – 0478 876 255. From Dubbo head north on the Newell Highway towards Gilgandra for 20 km and turn left onto Collie Road for just over 6 km.
