Who doesn’t love a farm stay?
Our newest listing is at Tagigan Road, Wolvi (next door to Cooloola Berries), 28 km north east of Gympie.
Owners, Julie and Tony, say their 40 acre working avocado farm has some remnant forest and you might encounter some kangaroos, wallabies, echidnas and even koalas. It is also a haven for birdwatchers.
Guests must be fully self-contained as there are no facilities – BYO portaloo!
An extra bonus comes with Wolvi Grove; not only are you camping beside an avocado orchard, but can walk a few hundred metres with direct access to a farm cafe, next door!
Cooloola Berries has pick your own strawberries in season, but their reputation for Paella Sundays is just as popular. Pull up one of their picnic rugs, listen to live music on the lawn and sip on their delicious strawberry cider. Fully licensed, they serve meals 8am – 5pm daily. Remember to close the gate as you return to camp!
Wolvi Grove avocados are for sale April – August, also next door at Cooloola Berries.
There is a 7 day limit at the camp ground. Dogs are welcome on a leash, please clean up after them. Campfires permitted if no firebans. Wood supplied at no extra cost for the first few nights.
They hire camp chairs, camp ovens and you can purchase firewood.
Remember, you must call ahead to book. Find out more on the Camps Australia Wide App.
