“At night, guests gather at the smokehouse and we share the history of the property and our passion for the Outback.”
As well as a dining area, camp kitchen and BBQ, the smokehouse has water access, firewood, toilet and shower facilities.
Madonna said, “Take a homestead tour and learn about our early pastoralists.” Or tour the 33,000 acre playground with a rare Ooline rainforest plantation.
Swap the TV and phones with star gazing, canoeing and yabbying on the dam. The swimming pool is available in warmer months, bring a racquet for the tennis court, take on the 13 km bush walking track, plus it is only half an hour from the Great Artesian Spa Complex.
As well as powered and unpowered sites, you can stay in the Jackeroo’s Cottage or BYO swags and camp out in a genuine Shearer’s Shed – perfect for groups!
Pets are allowed for a small fee, but please remember it is a working property with stock and their own working dogs.

Bonus Downs Farmstay is 630 km west of Brisbane, which is approximately seven hours drive.
It is situated 46 km south west of Mitchell on the Bollon Road with bitumen to the entrance.
There’s even an airstrip.
