Only open for camping two weeks – you’ll find Cedarton Farm located between Kilcoy and Beerwah near Queensland’s beautiful Sunshine Coast Hinterland.
It is still early days but for now, it is off grid, self contained campers, motorhomes and caravans only, no other amenities available. Pets (well controlled) are welcome, as are campfires and generators.
This small hobby farm is on 100 acres, with lovely scenery and ample shade. Wildlife love it here, too – wild deer, wallabies and kangaroos often pay a morning visit.
Feed the animals
Animal feeding is available for kids, with around 30 head of cattle, calves, chickens, ducks and three horses.
Feeding goes for about one hour in the morning and also in the afternoons, if they are low on grass.
What to see and do?
Close to Australia Zoo, Big Kart Track at Beerwah, Maleny Dairies, Kondalilla Falls, Gardener Falls, Mary Cairncross Scenic Reserve. There’s a cheese factory, chocolate factory and wineries in Maleny.
Conveniently, it is only 10-15 minutes from the Woodford Folk Festival.
