Crossing the Nullarbor – our adventure from Western Australia into South Australia

On the end of our Big Lap, on limited time, we traversed The Nullarbor in two days. Kids were due back at school, we had businesses to run but were so keen to experience this famed road trip. We left Esperance and the beauty of Cape Le Grand National Park, through Grass Patch and the heart of Mallee Country. The Eyre Peninsula in South Australia really is a wonderland to discover. As we drove south from Streaky Bay, we dropped in to check out Murphy’s Haystacks, listed as a budget campground in our book! These amazing rock formations are on a farm – in a paddock! There is a picnic area and toilet, and the site is not far from the highway. The camp area is pet friendly, has 24 hours maximum stay for RVs and Big Rigs. There is a small fee, mobile coverage, shade, limited level spots, but it is so unique, we’ve given it our CAMPS tick of approval! It is
