Located at 70 Foster Street, it is at the head of the Sale Canal. The old Wellington Visitor Centre has now moved into this new facility and renamed the Central Gippsland Visitor Information Centre.
The old Visitor Centre waste dump point has also been relocated to the corner of Grand Canal Road and Punt Lane, so it is only 350 metres south of the new site.
Not just a Visitor Centre, the site is also host to a brand new Art Gallery and public library in the main building. A new performing arts theatre, the Wedge, is located next door, as well as a new skate park behind the facility at Cullinan Park! From high culture to street culture, the new facilities have something to offer everyone.
