This new Caravan Park in Longreach, The Muddy Duck, is nestled by the Thomson River.
The park is 5 km from the main street of Longreach and just off the Landsborough Highway. There’s 15 acres of land along the river where you can kayak, explore the river or cool off with a swim.
There’s a modern camp kitchen with BBQ, potable water, laundry and hot showers.
Friendly owners Andrew and Louise welcome you to the tranquility of their new Caravan Park in Longreach. There are both powered and unpowered sites, with large drive through sites and garden beds on either side.
Bring the family and experience the big skies, magical sunrises and sunsets, nearby lagoon with birdlife and lillies. After that take the whole family for a bike ride along the old highway, (now a footpath) into town.
There’s attractions nearby too. Learn about the origins of the world famous Qantas Airline at the Qantas Museum. Visit the Australian Stockman’s Hall of Fame. Enjoy a live show or a meal at the cafe.
There’s lots to do here. Drop by the local visitor centre for more things to see and do during your stay.
