Budget and waterside camp: Second Creek Beach, Eyre Peninsula, South Australia

Our ambassadors Manda and Daniel thought this was a great small camp. There was only room for three or four sites.

It is a flat site and there is a boat ramp (with 4WD access) and toilets, too! Payment is available onsite with an honesty box, but there are no bookings.

You can swim, fish and bring your pet.

There is a low ocean swell here because of the Islands of the Sir Joseph Banks Group, so no need to bring a surfboard!

The camp is located south of Tumby Bay, on the eastern side of the beautiful Eyre Peninsula.

What to see and do:

  • Take the Trinity Haven scenic drive
  • Best fishing is at high tide off the inlets and the points
  • Birdwatching
  • Swimming
