Less than 4 km south of Port Gibbon, South Australia – you’ll find Point Gibbon The Dunes – the newest listing for CAMPS on the spectacular Eyre Peninsula.
Said CAMPS Ambassadors, Manda and Dan, “We are in love! We are planning to spend as many days as possible here, because well, why not!!”
Suitable for RVs and Big Rigs, it is $50/week with a 14 night time limit. Alternatively, only $10 per night for gorgeous views of the coastline. Permits are available from Beach Rd or Council Office.
They said, “BYO water, dog friendly, rubbish bins provided where we are, toilet block being installed. Dump point and water refill 15 minutes up the road.”
Thanks to Franklin Harbour Council – they have cleared about 30 coastal camp spots between Cowell and Arno Bay.
Pay stations are set up on the side of the road at a couple of points. Enjoy beautiful beach views, access to the beach for swimming in crystal clear blue water from some, driving access available at some points too.
UPDATED August 2022: All campers must have self contained toilet facilities except where toilet facilities are provided. It can get windy so consider that when positioning your setup.
Just up the beach, you can camp at Point Gibbon, with 15 bookable designated sites that must be booked online. Toilets are available.
Payment can now also be done online. Find it and other stunning camping locations in your Camps Australia Wide App!
