Farm & Station Stays

Corella Creek Country Farmstay, Queensland

Image by Some WIld Ride When you are driving the Flinders Highway, it can be a long time between stops! As you travel between Julia Creek and Richmond, there is an interesting spot to turn off to. When we pulled in in winter 2020, Corella Creek Country Farmstay and cafe had been hard hit by floods and Covid closures. Since then, owner Georgi has made lots of headway. The small bush camping ground also has an additional self contained studio and two budget rooms, hot tub and deck. They pride themselves on recycling – as it is a long way

Featured in our free GO WEST and stay with a farmer guide, this campground has only been open a few months. The working cattle property of nearly 800 hectares is just north of Dubbo – you’ll find it on our Camps Australia Wide App. In the guide, owner David and owners of the other 9 properties tell us about how the drought has been impacting them. He and the others urge us to visit. You can camp next to facilities: clean filtered non-potable water, chlorinated drinking water, flushing chemical toilets, hot shower, sheltered BBQ and table area, rubbish bins and

GO WEST and stay with a farmer!

Four Corners by Paul Zuccarello @mariachi.abandoned.melbourne via Instagram One of the wonderful things we do as a nation, is get behind the battlers, and help out those in need. We’ve seen it with the bushfires and the MILLIONS of funds directed to communities reeling from lost lives, homes and livelihoods from fire damage. We don’t want Australians in the drought areas to be forgotten – so we are asking you, our CAMPS AUSTRALIA WIDE Community, to visit these drought-stricken areas. Rains will come (in some places have had a little), but it will still take years to recover from this drought. So

A call out for your photos!

It is round the country today for our newsletter. From wildflowers in Western Australia, a creek bed freedom camp in North Queensland (within metres of a pub) and three new station stays in South Australia, tantalisingly positioned between two wine regions.  As Heatley and I are updating more and more new campgrounds daily. If you have come across a new camp area – please send us a pic! We’d love to hear about your travels. A big thanks to John Wilschefski, from Kirwan, QLD for his photo of this campsite on the Mooney River at the Nindigully Pub, near Thallon. Once

3 New Farmstay Listings in South Australia

When CAMPS AUSTRALIA WIDE hears about about new campgrounds being set up by teenagers, we think it is worthwhile sharing the story.
