Have you been to the Old Police Station Waterhole, Northern Territory?

The Old Police Station Waterhole Camp – NT site 17 in Camps 11 at Iytwelepenty / Davenport Range National Park south of Tennant Creek, Northern Territory or find it in the Camps Australia Wide App.

A budget campsite, no pets, recommended as 4WD only for tents and camper trailers has toilets, fireplace, picnic table, shade and suitable for dry conditions.

This park is open all year round, but the roads may be closed after rain. The best time to visit is during the cooler months from April to September. There are only basic camping facilities so you need to be self sufficient and well prepared. Check road conditions prior to travelling. 4WD only.

The Iytwelepenty / Davenport Ranges National Park overlays a rich living cultural landscape of the Alyawarr, Wakaya, Kaytete and Warumungu traditional owners.

It is also a wonderfully remote visitor experience for adventurous four-wheel drivers wanting to see the real Territory.

Separated from other river systems, the park also provides an important refuge for waterbirds found in desert country and seven species of fish.

The park has European heritage sites, including relics from early mining and pastoral enterprises that occurred in the area.
