Concerts are not something I have done a lot of over the years. Probably due to dragging four kids along to events like this is not always easy.  Well, it was a lifelong aim to see Jimmy Barnes live. On the Mother’s Day weekend we took our two eldest and girlfriend, with some great mates to the Festival by the C in Hervey Bay.  Mental as Anything, Baby Animals, Killing Heidi and Mark Seymour too. Previously called Ongerup Gardens Caravan Park, new owners Lee and Stephen Baker welcome travellers to their corner of WA. The park is perfectly situated between the Stirling Range and Fitzgerald River National Parks. Home of the Yongergnow Australian Malleefowl Centre with its own aviary as well as a sanctuary for this endangered species. There’s also a cafe with coffee and light meals available. In September / October you can visit the Wildflower Show. Lee also recommends a visit to the Ongerup Museum. The second Clarence Valley Country Muster is from October 27th to November 3rd 11 Coulters Lane, Calliope, Ulmarra NSW (19 KM NE of Grafton off the A1). Chief organiser Wendy Gordon, who runs the muster on her property at Calliope (NSW) just north of Grafton, us looking forward to opening her farm gates to the biggest country music festival crowd ever seen on these parts.
