Marble Bar Pool is the reason Marble Bar earnt its name, except it was Jasper people were startled with, not marble. It still looks good because the jasper here and neighbouring day use, Chinamans Pool are protected.

What to do in Marble Bar?
- Check out the cool entry to town with hottest place in Australia sign
- Fossick at a Jasper deposit on the way to the Comet gold mine or see it at the info centre
- Take in the PIlbara red views at the Flying Fox Lookout and the Water Tower (above the caravan park).
- Visiting the old stone Government Buildings at the Tourist Centre is a must – we had a lovely helper, plus there is an op shop, museum, rocks, maps and books for sale, too, Heatley stocked up on some $2 novels, and I bought a top! Best of all, as we pulled away Heatley said is that a Sturt Desert Pea? And it was, one in bloom and another on the way! What a thrill. Better than spotting a Belted Galloway!
