Lake Wyangan (pictured below) is one of the many beautiful free camps we have found in our caravanning trips through SA, Victoria, NSW and Qld using the Camps Australia Wide guide book. Lake Wyangan which is a lovely camping spot about 8 km north west of Griffith in NSW. This book is referred to by many travellers as the “Campers’ Bible”. We have yet to travel through the red centre up to Darwin and back through the Kimberley to Perth, but when we do we will definitely be using the current edition of the “Campers’ Bible” which contains invaluable information on over 5,000 free and budget campsites throughout Australia.
Michael Lennon, Perth, WA
Michael is not just a CAMPS fan, he is our Ambassador. When researching trips, Michael helps us keep sites up to date, and sends us photos and site updates as he and his wife travel.
He dropped in to see us in Queensland last year, and you can see from these photos – that his CAMPS book has lots of notes and routes outlined.
Like me, Michael believes the trip planning and anticipation is almost as much fun as the trip itself!
He said, “Our next driving destination will be the north eastern Wheatbelt where we and another couple will spread a few much needed tourist dollars in the regional towns. Our trip through the red centre has to wait until the State’s borders reopen.”
We love receiving updates and suggestions for new sites. If you’d like to be a CAMPS Ambassador, please email Michelle at info@campsaustraliawide.com and send in some of your photos!
You can also upload them directly to our Camps Australia Wide App (which is available on a free three (3) day trial right now. Our Facebook Group “I Love Camping Australia WIde” is another popular spot to share images from trips, you can also add them there for us to enjoy!
Thanks Michael, we look forward to seeing more of your journeys!
