Scarness Beachfront Tourist Park

What a beautiful location! Right on the beach, with beach access to these calm sandy beaches. Currently there are big renovations due to happen for this council run park – and you need to be self contained RV only. Toilets are available at the foreshore just south of the tourist park. No dogs, but there is unlimited swimming, fishing and the boat ramp next door. There are picnic tables, too and a dump point. Budget priced – it is a wonderful location for anyone who loves the sea – sailing, waterskiing, swimming, snorkeling, kayaking and canoeing. In fact, the Outrigger Club

CMCA Humpty Doo RV Park – Northern Territory

It’s always great to add a new site to our listings, and this time it’s the new CMCA Humpty Doo RV Park in the Northern Territory. Located off the Arnhem Highway south-east of Darwin you’ll find it at the rear of the iconic Humpty Doo Hotel. There are large flat sites with direct access to the hotel and park guests are able to use the hotel swimming pool also. It is suitable for all sized RVs, with a dump point with potable water as well as onsite caretaker. The park has disabled access, is pet friendly and generators are permitted.

Between Gympie and the Cooloola Coast, is a little oasis called Standown Park, QLD site 212 in Camps 11, 256 in Caravan Parks 5 or find it on the Camps Australia Wide App. As we turned into their road, kangaroos were there to welcome us. The pet friendly caravan park has powered sites and budget unpowered out of the way sites as there are 18 acres beside forestry, set amongst gardens, wide open spaces and memorial walls. On our way back home, we stopped into the Eumundi Markets and the Eumundi RV Stop Over. We noted it says it is still closed due to COVID (which you will see on the Camps Australia Wide App), so we put in a query. Here’s there reply, that they are: “just not an RV park but also a very busy car park on market days. We have plans to re-open over coming months and once we do, we will be putting the information up on our website…. We are limited to 20 per night…” We thought it looked a great

Victory Park, Wilcannia New South Wales, is a winner

Trevor Ball sent in some photos and told us how impressed he was with Victory Park Caravan Park and the lovely caretakers in Wilcannia, NSW. On arrival, he says you collect the ablution block key from caretaker’s letterbox and proceed to any vacant site, they do the rounds to collect fees. There are two new washing machines that are free to use. Other travellers describe it as picturesque and peaceful – it’s right on the Darling River. Camp on the riverbank and the beautiful red river gums or choose a site with bush views. Operated by council, they can accommodate pets
