Exciting news for RV owners! The Murrindindi Shire Council in Victoria launched a 12-month trial of a new RV Rest Stop in the charming town of Marysville back in 2025. Marysville RV Rest Stop is nestled within the stunning Gallipoli Park Precinct, this new facility promises to enhance the visitor experience in this picturesque area.
The trial commenced in February of last year and access to the RV site is at the intersection of Falls Rd and Mt. Kitchener Ave.
The location accommodates up to six fully self-contained RVs, allowing for a maximum stay of 72 hours. Additionally, a dump point is available on-site and it’s pet friendly as well.
Gallipoli Park is a gateway to natural beauty, featuring access to scenic waterfalls, including the Phantom Falls. Just 4 kilometers from the park, you’ll find Steavenson Falls, one of Victoria’s tallest and most spectacular waterfalls.
As you explore the park, don’t miss the opportunity to stroll through the stunning Reflective Gardens and onto the New Life Sculpture, designed by local artist Bruno Torfs. This piece serves to reflect new life in the community since the devastating Black Saturday bushfires of 2009.
For those seeking remarkable views, Keppel Lookout is a must-visit. This lookout offers stunning vistas of Marysville, the Cathedral Range State Park, and of course, the magnificent Steavenson Falls.
Gallipoli Park also boasts a state-of-the-art children’s playground, with elevated sandpit, slides, rope climbing net, swings and flying fox, ensuring fun for the whole family. The park is surrounded by fantastic walking trails that venture over bridges and alongside a serene lake, providing a central hub for leisurely strolls to local cafes and shops.
Also available at the park is a BBQ area, picnic tables, rotunda, sports oval and toilets.
