What an adventure we’ve had since our last newsletter! We decided to head west to the ‘Natural Sciences Loop’ of Queensland, waiting to see what happened with the COVID state restrictions, before we ventured south through NSW. It meant we ran into many excited travellers on their way to the Big Red Bash in Birdsville.
We saw mice, silo art, dinosaurs, hot artesian baths, petrol queues, overflow areas opening for camping, some wet and muddy adventures (interesting with our son’s swag), character filled pubs and cracking campfires.
Our trip included a station stay, caravan parks and lots of free camps in Chinchilla, Surat, St George, Dirranbandi, Cunnamulla, Eulo, Thargomindah, Eromanga and Quilpie – so far!
Our first venture in the new van was wonderful! Thanks to everyone who said hello to us along the way! We are on our way home now, and I promise to share more on our trip – which we would definitely recommend – once we are back. In the meantime, check our socials for photos and updates!
We’ve given you a selection of camping sites across Australia in this newsletter – let us know where you are camping this winter!
