We are just back from Dinner Plain in Victoria and I want to go back for their awesome Easter events: live music, egg hunt, music trivia, scavenger hunt, Omeo Rodeo and polo at Cobungra Station…
In fact, it would be bucket list material for us to get to what they say is Australia’s longest ever running polo event, with a 34 year history.
We’d also love to visit the venue itself, one of Victoria’s largest and history laden cattle stations.Â
Cobungra Station was established in 1851 by the Gray family. The 6486-hectare alpine beef property was recently sold for $35 million at the foot of Mount Hotham, and included more than 24,000 hectares of adjacent grazing licences.
(And it is just across the road from a free camp at Victoria Falls!)
The whole family can watch Geebung vs the Cuff n Collars on Easter Sunday, with food, drinks, entertainment and fun events for all ages! Yes, you can BYO. Buses depart from Dinner Plain.Â
Tickets are $30 for adults and $15 for children under 12 – buy your tickets on eventbrite.Â

All weekend Easter specials on snow gear and local stores are open, there’s gin and whisky at The Hub, and meals at High Plains Hotel and Club Wyndham. Book ahead for events and accommodation.Â
