Days out: Enoggera Reservoir

Walkabout Creek Discovery Centre also known as Enoggera Reservoiris a day use area in D’Aguilar National Park.

Located just west of The Gap, it really is in Brisbane’s backyard – you can see Aussie wildlife – there are daily platypus feeding, entry fees apply.

There is a 2 hour hike around the reservoir, suitable for prams but they ask people to leave their dogs at home. It’s a great spot for kids, you can also swim or kayak (not patrolled).

Thanks to Kate for these images, and Holly and Tess – they said it was a lovely day out, and so close to Brisbane.

Please note: Due to severe fire weather the Araucaria Track located at the Enoggera Reservoir will be closed until 27 November 2019. The beach will remain open to swimming and paddle craft.
