Brown Brothers in Victoria are famous for their wines, but did you know you can camp there?

If you are visiting Milawa, you can pull in here for a maximum 48 hours, no tents.

CAMPS Ambassadors Tracey and Dale visited recently and said, “One thing we love about travelling Australia is some of the different sorts of places we can pull up to with our caravan and stay at. Brown Brothers Vineyard, located approximately 16km from Wangaratta, is one of those places.”

Situated across the road from the cellar door beside one of their car parks is an area for self contained RVs to pull up for a night or 2 and enjoy all the area has to offer.

They said: “There is water available in the car park but no other facilities. Dogs are allowed in the camping area but not at the cellar door. We enjoyed some wine tasting and a really nice lunch in their cafe.”

This is a beautiful part of Australia, with loads of wineries, breweries and distilleries, eateries, historic pubs, heritage trails and natural fun nearby. Cycling trails, markets and even hot air ballooning are on offer!

Milawa is the first official ‘gourmet region’ in Australia and Wangaratta is on the junction of the Ovens and King Rivers. There is truly so much to explore and taste here!

We stopped by to Milawa recently and lunched at Sam Miranda and their exquisite wine. We ate outdoors, with firepits roaring nicely.

You can also camp at Milawa Caravan Park, and there is budget camping at Oxley Recreation Reserve on the King River, 3 km south of town.
