Did you know you can camp and glamp on Rottnest Island, Western Australia?

Wadjemup Rottnest Island is best known for the cute quokkas. But did you know it also offers camping? You can, only don’t take your RV. Tents only. CAMPS Ambassadors, Amanda and Dan shared their day on Rottnest Island: “We took the mountain bike and EUC over to check out the Quokka’s and the island.       Previous Next Enjoyed a pub style lunch, had a snorkel at the beach and I worked my hamstrings and glutes like they have never been worked before. “Have you ridden around Rottnest? Did you know there were so many hills? I didn’t!” Check

South Coast NSW Must See: Wallagoot Gap

I can’t believe we travelled all the way to Bournda National Park and missed this beauty! Wallagoot Gap in Bournda National Park is on the New South Wales’ Sapphire Coast. Bermagui to Wonboyn is known as the Sapphire Coast – and is home to many gems of locations! This well hidden beach is only minutes from Tathra and Merimbula. Wallagoot Gap is a 200 metre walk from Turingal Head Picnic Area (find the day use area in the CAMPS AUSTRALIA WIDE App). You’ll reach a timber platform and stairs down to the beach. Make sure you bring your camera, as

Best ocean pools on the New South Wales South Coast

Aslings Beach Pool, Eden Never have I ever seen so many ocean pools in the one Aussie roadtrip, from Wollongong area to Eden. I don’t mean natural rock pools, but man-made swimming pools that meet the sea! I had swim lessons at Snapper Rocks “baths”, next to Queensland’s most southerly Froggie Beach. You can only see remnants of it now. But in Queensland, these ocean pools are less common. Can you believe, it is estimated there are over 70 of these along the NSW coast? As we travelled along the southeastern coast of Australia, we were keen to check them

Elephant Rock , WA

Why WA’s Elephant Cove gave me the scare of my life!

The first time my kids EVER heard me swear was at Elephant Cove, William Bay National Park, in southern WA. This is a beautiful destination. Insta worthy. Jaw dropping and aptly named. Huge monolithic rocks dominate the view as you reach the beach. I treasure all four of our bambinos. It’s the typical arrangement in our family – mum says “be careful” and Dad encourages them to be adventurous. As we lapped around Australia, and grew up surrounded by national park – truth be told I bred four mountain goats. I loved that they were adrenaline junkies, competent swimmers and
